German Summerfest at the German-American Club of Albany Sunday August 23, 2009, as summer winds down enjoy yourself at the last summer picnic at Schuetzenpark at the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany. Schuetzenpark is a large pine tree shaded grove and is the last outdoor Biergarten in the Capital District. This month we feature live music from the Mountain Tops. The park opens at 1:00 PM. Entry is $3 per adult, children under 12 are free! Tasty German food and drink are available for purchase as well as domestic food and drink. Children’s activities include a parade. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors in our large banquet hall and barroom. Old Time German Day Picnic at the German-American Club of Albany Sunday July 19, 2009, relive the old-time days when German brass bands played loud Ompah music, beer flowed, and everyone had a great time at the Schuetzenpark Biergarten on the grounds of the German-American Club of Albany, 32 Cherry Street, Albany.
