This week's My4 / U.S. Army Student-Athlete of the Week is Arielle Smith, a senior at Voorheesville High School.

Arielle is a 3-year starter on the Blackbirds volleyball team. She led Voorheesville to the Class C Championship last season and was named the Colonial Council's Defensive MVP. This past summer she was invited to and participated in the prestigious "High Performance National Volleyball Program" in Tucson, Arizona.

Off the court Arielle carries a 92 average, and. among many other activities, is a member of band and chorus along with being the treasurer of the district's SADD chapter.
