As much as the Giants dominated the Eagles last night (rushing yards, time of possession) and we're clearly the better team, with 2:00 to go that was clearly a winable game for Philly and was, if fact, a game they should have won.

Down 5...with the ball on their own 43...third and 3...is no time to run the football. Not when you haven't been able to run it all night. But I've seen Andy Reid make calls like this before. It's one of the rason he gave-up play calling a few years ago. Andy, for all his strengths in other areas, is a rotten play-caller. However, the guy now in change of the offense for the Eagles, Marty Morningweig, is proving he isn't much better.

But, again, a run on third down? Maybe you catch the defense looking "pass" and you get a first down. It didn't work, but at least Brian Westbrook got 2 yards and he got out of bounds, setting-up a 4th in one.

Now..I've watched every snp of every Eagles game for the past 25 years...so I've seen it all. But never in my wildest dreams did I think they'd run the ball again on 4th down. No gain. Game over. At that point...when Westbrook was taken-down by a swarm of Giants who were not fooled in the least by the call, I realized that this would be Andy Reid's final year as Eagles coach. Has to be.

Reid has taken this franchise as far as he can take it. And he's done a tremendous job: 100 wins in 10- seasons. 4 N.F.C. Championship games. One Super Bowl appearance. But his administration has bottomed out. Flat-lined.

Since the Super Bowl loss to the Patriots the Eagles are a .500 team. And with that loss last night they've now dropped 8-straight Prime Time games. That used to be a strength of Andy Reid teams: playing their best in the biggest spots. Not anymore.

It's time for a coaching change in Philly. And that's nothing to be ashamed of. It's rare these days when an NFL coach lasts 10-years with the same team. Reid's run has been nice and he, owner Jeffrey Lurie and QB Donovan McNabb have together turned this organization into one of the most respected in the league.

But the NFL is about WINS...and Reid just isn't producing enough. So I think he's gone at the end of the year and I think that would be best for both Reid and the team. The question is: will McNabb be following Reid out the door?

If I had the say...I would vote YES.
