- Why are there long line at the toll booths designated only for "Speed Pass" (or whatever they call it where you live) on major highways and the cash lanes are empty? I deal with this every day. I think they need to change the name of the "Speed Pass" lanes to: "I never learend how to count money so I'd rather sit here for awhile while the other traffic moves past me" lanes. - Notre Dame has too much coin tied up in Charlie Weis to send him packing at the end of the season, though Weis has done nothing to deserve to return to South Bend for another year. And that's what you get for giving a lucrative, long-term contract to a coach who didn't have the credentials for the job. - The NFL is dropping the price of playoff tickets. Kinda silly. Playoff tickets are the one thing that fans will kindly spend good money for. If the league wants to be financially benevolent during these tough financial times, how about cutting the price of Pre-Season games to what they're worth: about 10-bucks. - I don't see Manny Ramirez in Yankee pinstripes, but, of course, that's what wer all said about Roger Clemens and Johnny Damon. But this isn't just a Red Sox thing. The Yanks need to follow suit of the Rays and Phillies and other MLB teams and get more ATHLETIC. And while Manny is the best pure hitter in the game...he's a 2-tool guy (hit for ave., hit for power). That $$$ would be better spent elsewhere. - The rain will help the Jets tonight...but not enough. If they're going to finish 8-8 (which was my prediction after they got Favre) then this is one they have to lose. |
